Hash House A Go Go Chicken And Waffles-Breakfast Favorite

by admin on April 8, 2010

Foodies and historians are unable to agree on the origins of Fried Chicken and Waffles but most versions are at least one hundred years old.

Three things we are willing to bet (this is Las Vegas):

  • It’s been around a long time.
  • You have to scour the Earth and certainly Sin City to find a better preparation than Hash House A Go Go.
  • Chef Anthony loves what he does.

Hash House serves some of the biggest and tastiest portions at their original Sahara location or their new location at Imperial Palace.

To prepare this dish Chef Anthony takes (2) 8 ounce chicken breasts that are breaded in corn flakes, corn starch, house seasoning, and fresh sage.  The chicken is then fried.

While the chicken is cooking the waffle is prepared with Applewood Smoked Bacon inside of the waffle.

Once everything is cooked perfectly the Hash House Chef drizzles a homemade soy barbecue sauce around the plate, stacks the waffles and chicken, then tops it with thick maple syrup and fried leeks.

The final dish is about 10 inches high so I hope you are hungry!

Just a few of their recent Awards:

  • Best Comfort Food-Las Vegas CityLife-2010
  • Best Breakfast-Review Journal-2008
  • Best Sandwich-LasVegas Life-2007
  • Best Burger-Bite of Vegas-2008
  • and about a dozen more…
